All Hallow's Eve Draws Near!

I just shipped this order out to a customer and had to share this picture! I love to add little gifts to my orders and added Gus the Ghost! He was so easy to make that I'm hoping to whip out a quick tutorial so many little Gus the Ghosts can be made in many houses this Halloween! How fun it would be to make several, thread with string and hang from a Halloween tree inside or outside your house!

  2. Very sweet. I am going to try and find the time over the long weekend to do some needle-felting. We don't get to do as much as we used to as so much of our spare time is taken by homework and violin.

  3. OH YES! Please Please...do you think it would be simple enough for little hands?

  4. Thanks for the comments, Mamas! Forrest, this is so easy it's almost embarassing - lol! Yes, it's easy, but it does involve a little bit with the needle, so depending on how young the little ones are. Many Waldorfians feel it's not good to allow a child under the age of 9 to needle felt due to the forceful, stabbing nature. Others have children that get upset by the visual of something beloved being *stabbed*. My girls see me doing it all the time because I'm working on orders. They've needle felted since young ages, but I usually set them up with a wool sheet on a felting mat so they don't poke themselves as easily as if it's a 3-D object. I can't remember how little your wee ones are, but they can certainly help roll balls and place the wool over the ball to make the ghost ;)
