2nd Week of Advent: Plant Kingdom

"...And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people..."
~ a section of Linus's Christmas speech to Charlie Brown...

Sunday began the 2nd week of Advent and we welcomed the plant kingdom to our seasonal tables...

The second light of Advent, it is the light of plants.
Plants that reach up to the sun and in the breezes dance.
~ "December" Earthschooling

My new root ball bowl/platter (a gift from St. Nick) - a bit big to fit in my shoe, but a treasured gift - how did he know I had been eyeing that bowl for months?!? LOL!

Last night, we enjoyed Sibylle von Olfers' book, "The Story of the Snow Children". The girls were fascinated by the beautiful white snow children and the red cloaked young girl in the story. We're inspired to make some of our own snow children to decorate the tree since we only get snow in the mountains in Southern California.
Many white snowflake children wished unto you!
